Are you a victim of fashion or a creator of style? Every season new trends come on the fashion scene like the low, low, low rise jeans or the gladiator sandals that are so in vogue right now. And without batting an eyelid we go out and purchase the item because we want to be up with the trend, right. No thought has been put into ‘Does this look good on me?’ or ‘Is this the most flattering shape for me?’ Nope, we saw it in the magazine, we were told that its a ‘must have’, and must have it we will. And off we go to the mall to fill our closets with expensive clothes that have a shelf life of a few months. Ladies, that is a victim of fashion! The low rise jeans have even brought into vogue the term ‘muffin top’ meaning the role of fat that hangs over your too tight jeans. Do you have a muffin top?And for most people the gladiator sandals should have stayed in Rome with the decline of the Roman Empire! So what is a creator of style? A creator of style are those people who use fashion to create their own personal style. With a discerning eye and some well invested time spent in the dressing room they can tell which trends will work for them and which trends to stay away from. They leave the gladiator sandals in Rome and find the jeans that are hip and groovy but most importantly flatter their body type. They have the confidence to say ‘No’ to a current trend and ironically look all the more stylish because of it. Just when you are looking so fabulous and sexy in your new outfit. The epitome of class, elegance and sex appeal. You are making such a positive first impression that people can only think other positive things about you. You are just so pleasing to the eye……….. then, you turn around……. and it’s all over……….VPL is in full view! For those who do not know, that’s visible panty line ladies. It is in my opinion the number one fashion faux pas. You can have it all….. looks, style, flair and it all mounts to nothing when you reveal a visible panty line.

The solution …G-string or thong undies.
The problem. ….. The problem is ouch! Most women avoid G-string or thong underwear, they say they feel uncomfortable, a G-string or thong is comparable to dental floss up the you know where!

FASHION TIP. the trick to no VPL (visible panty line) is yes…wearing G-string or thong underwear but the secret is that you must size up so that you do not have the dental floss action going on. Sizing up means if you are a size small, buy mediums and if you are a medium, buy size large.

Choose soft fabrics that gently lay on top of your body and don’t cut into your skin. It may take a couple of days to get used to but you’ll never look back!! (no pun intended). And your man………. or woman will just love it!

Ladies…..For those of you concerned about the aging process……and who isn’t……check out Dara Torres who has just made the 2008 U.S. Olympic swim team…..at the ripe old age of 41. That should give a lift to you spirits! And for those of you thinking that getting older is not hip, think again. It’s all about finding out what you are passionate about in life and taking action on it and that is exactly what Dara Torres has done to win herself a place at this years Olympics. The formula for success……work hard, believe in yourself, surround yourself with a great support team, never give up and ladies go for the gold in your own life.
FASHION TIP: For those of you that would cringe at the thought of getting into a bikini or swimsuit get yourself one of those full body suits that the athletes wear. They cover everything, suck you in and make you look great… I’ve been wearing one for years!

Her friends say suicide was just not possible. She was ‘on top of the world’. Her Internet writings tell a story of love gone wrong. To look at Ruslana Korshunova its appears that she had it all, enchanting beauty, a successful modeling career and a jet set lifestyle. Her numerous magazine covers included Elle and Vogue and she was hailed as ‘the next big thing’.
Truly, ‘ having it all’ as the saying goes means a balanced harmony between your inner and outer life. Ruslana certainly had it covered on the outer life and how sad it is that her inner pain in a moment of despair, when it all looked so hopeless, caused her to take her own life. That inner voice that we all have is like the weather, it can be unpredictable and ever changing. Sometimes its storm clouds and hurricanes, or overcast and gloomy and other days it is beautiful sunshine.
Always know that the storm clouds will pass. I am so sorry that Ruslana could not see beyond the bad weather of her mind in the moment she decided to end her young life.

Celebrities were among the 200,00 revelers who descended on Glastonbury today for the start of Britain’s biggest music festival. The stars were spotted getting into the festival spirit with a drink in the backstage area and the style was a throw back to 1970’s punk….. but not thrown back far enough! It would have been fun to see a greater commitment to an outstanding era in fashion design where there was no such thing as pushing the envelope too far. Whatever the style the one fashion must have for all is a pair of Wellington Boots, in the U.S. that would be rain boots to combat the notoriously rainy weather.

“Crowds spilled out on the pavement at Kiehls, on Montana Avenue, Santa Monica to get a glimpse of the uniquely custom designed chopper by Jesse James, host of Monster Garage and owner of West Coast Choppers. Jesse designed and built the amazing copper himself especially for Kiehls. He also admitted he is a big fan of the mens’ products before happily posing for photographs with fans. Wife, movie star Sandra Bullock was not present at the event. Guests feasted on Cisco kobe beef burgers and drank American beers and left with a complimentary bag of Kiehls product.

Speaking for myself, I tend to find that people who understand style, color and beauty are always drawn to art, good art! I kid you not here, I am not much of a cry baby, but on first viewing his art, I literally started crying. I had to quickly wipe away the crocodile tears with my new silk Frey-Wille scarf (of course), before Roni threw me out of his fabulous house! I also attached here one of my favorites for your viewing pleasure, the beautiful ‘Mannequin’, oil on canvas. Wow.
